This page explains the Wallet as a payment instrument — how funds flow in (top-up), how they are spent (payments), and how they can be returned (refunds) within the Network.
Overview
Inside the Network, all users can perform instant transactions thanks to the Wallet. The Wallet, that can be used within the Network, is a limited spendable payment method under PSD2 exemption (UE Directive 2015/2366, exemption under Art. 3 k). Below is a comprehensive overview illustrating how the Wallet works:
-
Wallet Top-Up Methods: users can top up the Wallet through various methods (e.g., SDD, SCT/SCT Instant, cash, welfare, loyalty points)
-
Payment via Wallet: once the Wallet is topped up, the balance can be used for purchases of goods or services within all the stores of the Network
-
Refund: it is also possible to request a refund of the transaction via SCT or cash
